Do you crave a job where you can make a difference and serve the public?Southwest District Health is recruiting a Licensed Practical Nurseto join the dedicated group of public health professionals in theirClinic Services Division.This position will provide Licensed Practical Nursing services, interventions, and assessments for a wide variety of programs and services which can include District Care (including outreach), Immunizations, Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD), Women's Health Checks, Reproductive Health, Tuberculosis Clinic, and Colposcopy Clinic. This position may be required to work in all Southwest District Health (SWDH) offices. We offer an optional 401Kand multiple savings plans, wellness programs, ongoing training opportunities, and more!* Immunize adults and children in accordance with the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) guidelines and immunization schedules assuring all immunizations are entered in Idaho's Immunization Reminder System (IRIS) and the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).* Participate in, and organize, immunization clinics both in SWDH locations and at partner organization locations, including large-scale flu and pandemic exercises.* Develop and monitor quality initiatives for the immunization program.* Explore and develop relationships with new community partners to expand vaccination services throughout the district, especially to underserved areas/communities.* Performs practical nursing care or assists a registered nurse or physician in routine to complex situations.* Complete intake for patient visits.* Complete blood draws, tuberculosis testing, and other point of care testing.* Administer family planning medications and Depo injections per order.* Utilize infection control procedures and universal precautions while engaged in any type of work at SWDH.* Participate in proactive, preventative, intervention-based health education to improve health care status of clients and the community.* May be assigned to assist during public health emergencies and will be required to participate in preparedness exercises and training.You must possess all the minimum qualifications listed below to pass the exam for this position.
