As a CT Technologist, you will operate computerized tomography equipment to produce images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues for diagnostic purposes under the directives of a physician. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate diagnostics, patient care, and support while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining the high standards of Saint Alphonsus Health System. Operate CT imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images as per physician orders. Review and evaluate developed x-rays, video tape, or computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes. Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff. Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. Maintain records of patients' examinations, imaging data, and outcomes. Collaborate with radiologists to determine necessity of procedure and appropriate scanning techniques. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and comforting patients during the imaging process. Proficiency in operating complex medical imaging equipment Strong understanding of imaging processing software and systems Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) State license for Radiologic Technologists, if applicable
