Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Nampa, Idaho, 83651! ID:
75274986 Shift: 12H Nights 7p-7a, 6 weekend shifts and per 6 week
schedule and Will be asked to float to any other M Description:
Unit Ratios1:5 for days and nightsRequired certifications (i.e.,
BLS, ACLS?)BLSCommon diagnoses/Types of patientsGeneral MS, COPD,
Wtihdrawals- CIWAs, pancreatis, direct admits from critical access
hospitals, infections, surgicals (total joints- knees & hips,
urology, OB/GYN, general- appe/chole/hernia repairs), and more
Experience or 'Must have' skills"Must Have: 1 year of MS or PCU
experience Prefer: Ortho experienceWill accept first time travelers
"Are RNs required to titrate drips?NoneCommon titratable &/or
set rate dripsHeparin & PCAsAre there tele/monitor techs on this
unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the
tele monitors?Nurses not expected read their own tele, but to be
tele aware Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse
take an assignment?"Charge nurse on each shifts- who does not take
a patient assignment unless necessary, available to be a resource;
Assistant Nurse Managers available to support staff as well "Are
there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios"3 CNAs, ratios of 1:8-12; can
be pulled for sitter needs- if necessaryJob Duties: ADLs, vitals,
I/Os, ambulating, linen changes, showers, oral, blood sugars. &
more"RT Equipment (i.e., Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, vents, etc.)"RT
available, will administer all breathing tx and manage Resp
equipmentHome Cpap and High Flow; Bipap can be initiated on unit
and then transferred off"Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow
self-scheduling? Block scheduling?)"7-7 Modified Self- Scheduling;
Intially traveler will be plugged into the schedule and then
allowed to self-scheduled, but asked to be flexible and help to
fill gaps in the schedule;ANMs are cognisent of trying to group
shifts together for night shift; Schedule typically made out 6
weeks at a time "Weekend Requirement"6- 12 hr shifts (60 Hrs) in a

Goal is for a 2 hr notice prior to shift start if being asked to
float to another facility, however, staff/travelers may be asked to
float mid-shift when necessary. Floating is done on a rotational
