Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrated healthcare services, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on providing direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, playing a crucial role in the recovery process of our patients who are recuperating from major illnesses and injuries. Our setting provides an opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate quick and effective rehabilitation, integrating skills in physical therapy with an understanding of patient needs in inpatient, home health, and hospice environments. Implement selected components of patient care, intervention/treatment plans as supervised by the Physical Therapist. Document patient progress and report to the physical therapist. Educate patients and families on treatments and home exercises. Assist in the use of therapeutic equipment and instruct patients on proper use. Participate in patient care meetings and collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to optimize treatments. Maintain patient confidence by keeping information confidential. Ability to handle physical workload Strong interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions Understanding of safety protocols Efficient in time management Adept in maintaining documentation and patient records Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Physical Therapist Assistant state license CPR certification recommended
