Cardiothoracic SurgeonLocation: Boise, IDJob Type: Locum TenensOverview:A hospital-based opportunity is available for a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide call coverage within a well-established cardiac surgery program. This role includes managing consults, performing complex cardiac and thoracic procedures, and working alongside a highly experienced multidisciplinary team.24 Hour On Call: $4,000 with 4 gratis hoursCall Back: $400/hr after gratisAssignment Dates:July 10 July 20, 2026August 1 August 10, 2026September onward: ongoing coverage (10 shifts per month required)Full availability for all listed dates and ongoing 10 shifts/month is requiredSchedule:24-hour call shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)Practice Details:Setting: Hospital-basedEMR: EpicDedicated cardiothoracic ORSupport from rotating Physician Assistants in the ORPatient Population: Adult/GeriatricProgram Overview:Established cardiothoracic surgery program with:3 surgeonsAdvanced practice providers and perfusion supportDedicated CVICU and step-down unitHigh-volume program with a broad range of cardiac and thoracic casesParticipation in national quality and outcomes initiativesPatient Volume:Approximately 3 consults per day12 surgical cases per dayProcedures Include:Adult cardiac surgeryGeneral thoracic surgeryCABGValve repair and replacementAortic dissectionThoracotomy, lung resections, and pneumonectomyPericardial windowTube thoracostomyVA and VV ECMO placementRequirements:MD or DO RequiredCompletion of accredited residency and cardiothoracic fellowship RequiredBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery RequiredActive Idaho License or IMLC RequiredDEA and controlled substance registration RequiredACLS RequiredClean background and malpractice history RequiredMust meet full availability requirements for listed dates and ongoing schedule RequiredCredentialing:Must be able to obtain privileges prior to startAbout WhiteCoat Locums:- Physician owned and led agency- Highest-Pay rates on the market- $1m/3m malpractice insurance and tail- 100% transparency
