Supervisor Behavioral Health West Valley Medical Center

The Supervisor of Behavioral Health maintains 24-hour
accountability for clinical, operational, and nursing management
oversight for Behavioral Services. Responsible for assessing,
planning, implementing and evaluating all phases of nursing care
provided on the program. Determines staffing requirements and
material resources necessary to provide care to the patients in the
program. Provides supervision of and assesses and evaluates the
competence and performance of the nursing personnel. Participates
in the recruitment and community education process.

- Current Idaho Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS or obtain within 30 days of employment.
- NCC Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing
- Two years of behavioral health nursing experience
- One year nursing leadership preferred.
- Possesses a thorough knowledge of current behavioral health
concepts, principles and methods of treatment.
- Demonstrates knowledge and application of the ANA Scope and
Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication
- Possesses ability to supervise other nursing staff in a
