Job Description:
Idaho Milk Transport, a leading bulk liquid food grade
transportation provider based in Burley, Idaho, is seeking
experienced CDL-A local company truck drivers. Our focus on
transporting liquid food products requires a dedicated team that
understands the importance of safety, cleanliness, and timely
delivery. As part of our driving team, you will play a pivotal role
in ensuring our fleet operates efficiently across various states,
adhering strictly to safety and regulatory guidelines while
maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Safely
operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck primarily within local
routes. Load, handle, and transport liquid food grade products in a
manner that upholds our standards for safety, quality, and
cleanliness. Regularly inspect vehicles for mechanical items and
safety issues, and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes
efficiently and manage delivery schedules to ensure timely
deliveries. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size,
weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as
with company policies and procedures. Document and log work/rest
periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
Report defects, accidents, or violations immediately in accordance
with company policy. Proven work experience as a truck driver with
a clean driving record. Ability to drive long hours and travel
regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules
and regulations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected
situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.). Loading and
unloading efficiency. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A
required. Must have a clean driving record. Experience with
electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.). Must
pass DOT physical and drug test and have no prior disqualifications
that would prevent licensing.
