The Family and Community Services Division is looking for a Program
Specialist to serve as as the program lead over staffing, program,
clinical, and resource accruement.
This is a limited-service position. Length of limited-service
appointments are determined by the availability of funds such as
grants, alternative funding sources and/or timeframes such as pilot
projects, alternative funding sources or program termination.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
Schedules and manages staff
Oversees/coordinates youth's well-being needs being met
(health/mental health appointments, school, hygiene/clothing)
Oversees house management (cleaning services, food shopping,
transportation services; recreation)
Writes/researches policies
Trains/mentors staff
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the
exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work
history supports your meeting the minimum qualifications for this
position. Failure to do this may disqualify you from being
considered for this position.
Some knowledge of management practices. Typically requires
completion of a college-level course or 20 hours of management
training that included all the essential elements of management
(Planning, Organizing, Leading, Controlling); OR three months of
experience performing all management elements.
Some knowledge of program or project planning and
implementation.Typically requires at least one year experience on a
committee or with a group that involved program planning and
implementation.
Experience developing and evaluating policies and procedures.
Typically requires six months experience writing or assisting in
reviewing/auditing and developing policies, procedures, field
memorandums, directives or post orders.
