The R&D team plays a key role at Simplot to bring innovation and goodness to the plate, with great respect for Earth's resources and giving back to the community.Product Development InternThe Product Development Intern has the responsibility of working with the Food Scientists and Product Development Technologists and Technicians to understand and apply fundamental Food Science principles. Gathering data and applying these principles help companies to make decisions based on objective rather than subjective factors.Key Objectives/ Deliverables
Work alongside a Product Development Sr Food Scientist designing an experiment using food science principles. Work with the Product Development team executing the design of experiment, collecting and analyzing data and report writing. Support current business needs. Work with cross-functional team including marketing, quality assurance and process R&D to support the Product Development process.Present the project objective and key learnings to the Simplot Technical Center staff at the end of the internship.Typical Education High School diploma and entry level college Basic knowledge of fundamental Food science principles and materialsAdditional Skills / Preferences
