In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your precision, safety awareness, and proficiency in a variety of roofing techniques on steep slope systems, contributing to our reputation for excellence and durability in the industry.Benefits Offered:- Employee Health Insurance paid 100% by the Company.- Spouse/Family Health Insurance paid 25% by the Company.- Dental Insurance after 60 days- Vision Insurance after 60 days- 401K/Profit Sharing- Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance- Life Insurance- Paid Time Off Job Responsibilities- Install roofing materials such as shingles, slate, asphalt, aluminum, wood, all forms of sheet metal roofing or related materials on steep-slope roofs 3:12 or greater- Inspect problematic roofs to determine the best repair procedures.-Knowledge and experience in working on a pitched roof, and being comfortable working at heights and on pitches.- Knowledge of scaffolding and safety equipment set up before beginning work.- Work with a team to accomplish roofing tasks on steep slopes efficiently and safely.- Follow local building codes and safety regulations.- Maintain a clean job site by clearing debris and hazardous materials.- Ability to follow OSHA and Company fall protection and other safety requirements- NO EXCEPTIONS.Requirements: Job Requirements- Must be 18 years of age or older-Preferred 2 years of experience in steep slope roofing or a related construction field-Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation-Successfully pass pre-employment physical and drug screening- Experience in installing various roofing materials such as asphalt shingles, metal roofing, tile, and wood shakes- Knowledge of roofing tools, equipment, and safety protocols- Ability to measure, cut, and align roofing materials accurately- Experience with underlayment, ice/water shield, and drip edges installation techniques- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations pertaining to roofing- Physical fitness to lift heavy materials and work at heights- Comfortable working in various weather conditions- Strong balance and coordination to navigate steep slope environments- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary- Certification or willingness to obtain certification for the installation of specific roofing products- Comply with all Company policies, procedures, and OSHA safety standardsUpson HistoryUpson Company is a locally owned and operated commercial roofing contractor, located in the Boise Valley since 1975 with a track record of financial stability and consistent year-round work.
