ShiftDescription:INPATIENT PHARMACISTBOISE REGIONAL MEDICAL
CENTERProvides pharmaceutical care to patients of Saint Alphonsus
hospitals in Idaho. Monitor drug charts. Provide medication
counsel. Mentor the next generation of
pharmacists.REQUIREMENTS:
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required.
Residency preferred.
- Must be licensed as a Pharmacist with the Idaho State Board of
Pharmacy.
- Six months of inpatient experience preferred.
- Within 6 months of hire, Basic Life Support certification from
the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is
required.
- Excellent communication skills
- Adaptable to institutional roles and schedules.HOURS:You will
enjoy three days off a week. The shifts will include four 10s with
shared weekend support among the team.WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all
assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric
as applicable).
- Revenue management: ensures the accuracy of documenting
services and supplies provided to the patients.
- Reviews patient history incorporating various pharmacy
activities providing customers with adequate education for optimum
outcomes.
- Prepares pharmaceutical products for patients' use by safe and
cost-effective methods using acceptable professional
standards.
- Comprehends and supports quality assurance and risk management
issues.
- Participates in various departmental duties, material resource
management, clerical and financial responsibilities, safety, and
other issues.
- Supervises technicians and pharmacy support staff.Colleagues of
