Employment Type:Full timeShift:Rotating ShiftDescription:PHARMACIST TECH OPPORTUNITYNAMPA MEDICAL CENTERUnder the direct supervision of a pharmacist, assists in the provision of pharmaceutical care to various customers by verifying the medication packaging process and outcomes. - Practices within the scope of state and federal regulations.REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be licensed Pharmacy Tech with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy or Oregon Board of Pharmacy, based on the state worked. -
• National Certification (CPhT, ExCPT or equivalent) preferred with under 3 years' experience.WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Assists the pharmacist in preparing prescriptions, which includes various material resource management, dispensing, clerical, and billing duties.
  • Revenue management: ensures the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients. Participates in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Understands the limitations to performing certain responsibilities of a registered technician in dispensing medications and remains within the scope of practice. Transports medications to patient rooms or nursing medication rooms.
  • Retrieves unused medications from patient rooms or nursing areas. Excellent communication skills. Ability to create and foster a cooperative teamwork environment.
