difference. JOB SUMMARY: The Power Generator Field Technician will
troubleshoot issues, perform repairs and service existing
generators. This position will complete new generator start-ups,
with testing and commissioning. This role will also be tasked with
assisting Power Generation Electricians on installations of small
generators and Automatic Transfer Switches. The Power Generator
Field Technician will service locations throughout the Treasure
Valley but may also be required to travel out of the area on

Complete preventative maintenance on generators; Troubleshoot
electrical problems on site; Travel to job site to conduct service
work; Troubleshoot generator engine issues; Complete daily service
orders; Complete all required documentation; Perform scheduled
service and troubleshooting tasks on customer's equipment; Perform
residential generator and ATS Start-ups with load bank test,
transfer test and owner training; Other job-related
responsibilities as assigned. High School Diploma or equivalent
required; 3-5 years of generator mechanical experience required;
Experience with single and 3 phase generator power;
Vocational/Technical or certification preferred (i.e. Generac,
Kohler, CAT, Cummins). Any gas or diesel certifications considered
a plus; Generator Technician Certificate preferred; Effective
communication skills and excellent customer service; Keen attention
to detail; Ability to work independently and in a small team
environment; Ability to use shop tools required; A valid driver's
license is required, with safe driving record; Able to lift 25-50
lbs. frequently; Knowledge of jobsite safety and ability to always
